Founded in 1880, EMCH is now the largest lift company manufacturing in Switzerland and employs more than 220 people. The Swiss heritage company is now run by Bernhard and Hansjürg Emch, the fourth generation of family management, and operates internationally from planning and design engineering to installation. EMCH specialises in lift systems involving special requirements. Every single component is manufactured from start to finish in the company's own factory at its headquarters in Bern. As passionate lift architects, EMCH has the following philosophy: no lift is impossible. Every system, new or refurbished, is considered as a joint effort – resulting from the customers' needs, the architects' vision and the skills of EMCH's lift constructors.

Hansjürg Emch, Chairman of the Board of Directors EMCH Elevators Ltd. Hansjürg Emch has been a member of the Board of Directors of EMCH Elevators Ltd since 2002. He was a member of the Management Board of the Sonova Group from 2011 to 2019 and was President of the Californian subsidiary Advanced Bionics. He previously worked for 14 years with the Swiss-American medtech group Synthes, ultimately as the global President of the Synthes Spine division. Hansjürg Emch is a production engineer (ETH) and has completed the Harvard Business School's Management Development programme. |

Bernhard Emch, CEO EMCH Elevators Ltd. Bernhard Emch is a mechanical engineer (ETH) and has completed the Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management programme. Representing the fourth generation, he joined the family-run company in 2002 and took on the operational management of EMCH Elevators Ltd in 2005. As CEO, he established the local lift manufacturer as an international premium provider of lift systems. In addition to his duties as CEO, Bernhard Emch is a strong champion of the Bern region as a centre of industry. |

Daniel Steiger, Head of Sales and Marketing EMCH Elevators Ltd. Daniel Steiger has worked for EMCH Elevators Ltd for more than 20 years. He supported the company's repositioning as an external consultant and took up the position of Sales Manager thirteen years ago. He is head of strategy and business development for the new systems and alterations business in Switzerland and abroad. Due to his background as a long-standing partner and co-owner of a Bernese communications agency, he is also responsible for marketing and communication. Daniel Steiger has a Master of Science in Architecture (ETH). |

Dr. Lukas Braunschweiler, President of SMG, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tecan Group Ltd. Dr Lukas Braunschweiler is President of SMG and sits on the boards of directors of various companies. He holds a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from ETH Zurich. From 2011 to the end of March 2018, he worked as the CEO of the Sonova Group. He was previously CEO of the Swiss technology group RUAG, led the California-based Dionex Corporation as President and CEO from 2002 to 2009, and worked in Group Executive Management at Mettler Toledo from 1995 to 2002. |
Registration and fee
The number of participants is limited. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received and in consideration of sector representation.
Fee per person: CHF 225. A confirmation of registration and invoice will follow.
Kindly note that the registrations are binding. A representative from the company management may attend if the original registrant is unable to attend at short notice. We are obliged to invoice in the event of cancellations without a stand-in and no-shows.
