Straumann Group

Petra Rumpf is Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Straumann Group and a member of the Board of Directors of V-Zug Holding, SHL-Medical and Vimian. She joined Straumann in 2015 as a member of the Executive Management Board. As Head Instradent & Strategic Alliances, she successfully led the global expansion of the Value Brands and became Global Head Dental Service Organizations in 2017. From 2007 to 2014, she was a member of the Executive Management Board of Nobel Biocare and worked in the areas of digital business models, strategic leadership and M&A. Prior to that, she worked at Cap-gemini Consulting as VP Strategy & Transformation in the life science and high-tech sectors. Petra Rumpf holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Trier and an MBA from Clark University, USA.

Thomas Friese is Chief Technology Officer of the Straumann Group and leads the software development activities, in particular the development of the digital dental platform and the Group's AI developments. Previously, he was Senior Vice President for the Digital Health Platform at Siemens Healthineers, where he introduced innovative digital services to the global market for medical imaging, diagnostics and therapy. His work focuses on creating customer value with modern technologies such as cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence. Dr. Friese holds a doctorate in computer science from the University of Marburg and has held management positions in research and development at Siemens Corporate Technology, Siemens Healthineers and in the FinTech sector.

Marco Gadola is Vice Chairman of the Straumann Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DKSH and Medartis, Vice Chairman of the MCH Group, member of the Board of Directors of Bühler Group and AVAG and Operating Partner of Endeavour Vision AG. He has his own company focused on cultural change support and executive coaching. During his tenure as CEO, from 2013 to 2019, the Straumann Group grew considerably; sales, profit and workforce increased disproportionately. Prior to this, he was CFO and EVP Operations from 2006 to 2008. In the intervening years, he was CFO and Regional CEO Asia Pacific at Panalpina. Prior to that, he held international management positions in several well-known international companies, such as Sandoz, Hero and Hilti. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Basel and an INSEAD degree in Executive Coaching and Change Management.
