Peter Schneider, Psychoanalyst, satirist, author.
Peter Schneider studied philosophy, German studies and psychology and lives in Zurich where he works as a psychoanalyst. He was a private lecturer in psychoanalysis from 2004 to 2014 and a professor of development and educational psychology at the University of Bremen from 2014 to 2017. He has been a private lecturer for clinical psychology at the University of Zurich since 2014 and a lecturer in the history and epistemology of psychoanalysis at the International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin since 2017. In addition, he has been a satirist (SRF3 radio and the Sonntagszeitung newspaper) and columnist (in the Tagesanzeiger and Bund newspapers) for many years and has also authored numerous books.

He was previously CEO of the Swiss technology group RUAG, led the California-based Dionex Corporation as President and CEO from 2002 to 2009, and worked in Group Executive Management at Mettler Toledo from 1995 to 2002.

Prof. Dr. Dr. hc, Monika Bütler is an independent economist and honorary professor of HSG. Her research areas are social security, job market, political economics and information economics. Besides her international research activity, she frequently participates in the public debate on economic and political issues. She is co-founder and publisher of the blog "batz.ch", a forum for Swiss economic policy. Monika Bütler is a member of the Board of Directors of Schindler Holding AG and Huber & Suhner AG, a member of the Bank Council of the Swiss National Bank as well as Vice President of the Foundation Board of the Gebert Rüf Foundation.

Serge Gaillard earned a doctorate in 1987 at the Institute for Empirical Research in Economics of the University of Zurich, following which he worked at the Swiss Institute for Business Cycle Research (KOF) at ETH Zurich for 5 years. He was Executive Secretary for Economic Policy in the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB) from 1993, subsequently becoming Head of the Central Secretariat in 1998. He was also a member of the Bank Council of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) and the Swiss Competition Commission in this period. In 2007, he switched to the Swiss Federal Administration to head the Labour Directorate of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The Swiss Federal Council appointed him Director of the Federal Finance Administration in 2012, and he headed this administration until the end of January 2021. He was also involved in a variety of expert commissions in the Federal Administration. As a titular professor, Serge Gaillard lectures in economic policy at the University of Lausanne and financial policy at the University of Bern.

Martin Hirzel has been President of Swissmem since January 2021. He held the position of CEO of Autoneum from 2011 to 2019, having previously been Head of the SAMEA business group (South America, Middle East and Africa), member of the Executive Board of the Automotive Systems division of Rieter Holding AG from 2007 to 2011 and General Manager China of Rieter Holding AG from 2000 to 2007. He joined Rieter Textile Systems in 1997 as Chief Controller International following five years as controller of a business unit at IBM (Switzerland). Martin Hirzel is a graduate business economist and successfully completed the General Management Program of the Harvard Business School.

Dr. Beat Walti studied law at the University of Zurich and at the Université de Neuchâtel and was admitted to the Zurich bar. After receiving his doctorate, Walti worked from 1998 to 2001 as a management consultant and project manager at McKinsey & Co. Inc., Zurich, and co-founded the startup Etoile Medical AG in 2001. Since 2002, Beat Walti has worked as a lawyer for Wenger Vieli AG, since 2007 as a partner (Managing Partner 2012-14). Beat Walti has served as President of the FDP Liberal Group in the Federal Assembly since 2017, having been sworn in as a member of the National Council three years earlier. Walti is a member of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Taxation WAK-N.

Monika Rühl has been Chairman of the Executive Committee of economiesuisse since 1 September 2014. Following a degree in Romance languages at the University of Zurich, Monika Rühl successfully trained as a diplomat in Bern, Brussels and Geneva. Following posts in the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), she was the personal assistant to Federal Councillor Joseph Deiss and subsequently head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division in the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) with the title of Ambassador and a member of the Executive Committee. In 2008, she was appointed Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements. From 2011 to 2014 she led the General Secretariat of the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER).

Jan Jenisch is the Chief Executive Officer of Holcim Ltd since 2017. With 70,000 employees globally and revenues of over CHF 23 billion in 2020, Jan Jenisch led the company to a new level of financial performance and growth and established Holcim as a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. Under Jan’s leadership, Holcim committed to become a net zero company, working in partnership with the Science-Based Targets initiative, and set itself the most ambitious climate objectives in its industry. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Sika AG, which develops and manufactures systems and products for the building materials and automotive sector. Under his leadership, Sika expanded into new markets and set new standards of performance in sales and profitability. In 2021, Jan was elected to the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd, in addition to his role as CEO and his membership on the Board of the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction. Jan Jenisch is a Member of the Executive Committee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the European Round Table for Industry (ERT), and the Global Cement and Concrete Association. In addition, he serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Glas Troesch SA. Born in Germany in 1966, Jan Jenisch has studied in Switzerland and the US, and graduated from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, with a Master of Business Administration.

Wing Commander Daniel Stämpfli, Captain PC-7 TEAM.
Lieutenant-Colonel Daniel Stämpfli has been a flight instructor and chief pilot for the Pilatus PC-21 in Emmen since 2014 and Commander of the PC-7 TEAM since 2016. Following qualification as a professional military pilot, he served as a pilot and flight instructor on the PC-7, Hawk, F-5 Tiger and F/A-18 Hornet from 1996. Daniel Stämpfli was a member of the Patrouille Suisse aerobatic team from 1997 to 2004, commanding the outfit in the last three years of this period. From 2006 to 2009, Stämpfli served as Commander of the F/A-18 Fliegerstaffel 11 fighter squadron and, from 2010 to 2013, he commanded the Fliegergeschwader 13 fighter wing in Meiringen. Daniel Stämpfli has clocked up more than 5300 flying hours in total.

Marlen Reusser, Racing cyclist and doctor.
Marlen Reusser gained her first cycling licence in 2017 and, in her first competitive year, was Swiss champion on two occasions, all this while completing her medical studies. Parallel to her participation in sport, she worked for two years as an assistant doctor before deciding to go professional in sport in 2019. She then won the time trial at the European Games in Minsk in her first year. She was second in the time trial one year later. Marlen Reusser crowned her season in the Olympic year 2021 by winning silver at the Summer Games in Tokyo. A native of Bern, she became the European Champion in Trento, winning silver once again in the World Championships. As a lateral entrant, she continues to thrill the world of international cycling.

Thomas Peter, Director of Swiss Cycling.
Thomas Peter has been Director of Swiss Cycling since 2021. Mr Peter joined the association in 2009 as Discipline Director for Mountain Bike, becoming Head of Competitive Sport in 2011. In his role as Team Leader Cycling, he was involved in the Olympic Games in London in 2012, Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020. He held the position of Sport Director from 2018 before being appointed overall Director. Prior to joining Swiss Cycling, Mr Peter was active as a competitive athlete and opened his own bicycle business. Thomas Peter studied sport in Macolin, completing the Swiss Olympic professional trainer course and a degree in sports management at the University of Freiburg. Thomas Peter is also a co-initiator of different cycling events such as the Strassen-WM 2024 Road World Championships in Zurich and the Mountainbike-WM 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais.
