A panel discussion on innovation, creativity and copyright
Art and industry alike need creativity to maintain their stance and develop further in their respective fields. Both are highly valuable assets which require protection. However, globalisation and digital technologies mean that cloning, imitating or even making one-to-one copies of ideas and solutions are all too prevalent. And in turn, questions of intangible values and intellectual property are being raised more and more alongside the issue of material value added. It is high time for such challenges to be the subject of a broad debate, to give due priority not only to the prevailing law, but also the creative originators.
