The focus is on sector-focused cognitive solutions in the cloud. IBM invests almost 6 billion US dollars in research and development and, with more than 3,000 researchers in 12 laboratories on six continents, IBM research has defined the future of information technology for more than seven decades.

Philipp Späti, CTO IBM Switzerland. Philipp Späti ist seit 2014 CTO der IBM Schweiz sowie IBM Distinguished Engineer. Er verfügt über weitreichende Erfahrung im IT-Geschäft und arbeitet für einige der größten IBM Kunden, mit denen er gemeinsam deren digitale Transformation durch die Anwendung modernster Technologien wie Internet of Things, Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning und Cloud gestaltet. Philipp blickt auf eine erfolgreiche, langjährige Karriere in der IT-Branche zurück, die besonders durch sein Wissen als auch seine Führungskompetenz und Erfahrung in den Bereichen Technologie, Architektur und Innovation über diverse Branchen hinweg geprägt ist. Er ist Mitglied der IBM Academy of Technology als auch Open Group Distinguished Chief Architect. An der ETH Zürich absolvierte er ein Studium der Elektrotechnik, das er mit einem Mastertitel abschloss. |

Dr. Lukas Braunschweiler, President of SMG, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tecan Group Ltd. Dr Lukas Braunschweiler is President of SMG and sits on the boards of directors of various companies. He holds a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from ETH Zurich. From 2011 to the end of March 2018, he worked as the CEO of the Sonova Group. He was previously CEO of the Swiss technology group RUAG, led the California-based Dionex Corporation as President and CEO from 2002 to 2009, and worked in Group Executive Management at Mettler Toledo from 1995 to 2002. |
