Stakeholder Management
The BVZ Group provides public transport and tourism services in the cantons of Valais, Uri and Grisons. The core business consists of regional transport between Disentis or Göschenen and Zermatt of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn as well as the nature-based adventure tours around the Top Brands Gornergrat Bahn and the 50 percent subsidiary Glacier Express. In addition, there is the Täsch-Zermatt shuttle, car transport on the Furka, freight transport, the real estate business segment and the shareholdings in Matterhorn Terminal AG Täsch and Zermatt Bergbahnen AG.

Egon Gsponer, Head of Infrastructure and Deputy Corporate Director, BVZ Holding AG. Egon Gsponer is Head of Infrastructure and has been Deputy Corporate Director of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway / BVZ Holding since 2016. He studied cultural engineering at the ETH in Zurich and completed a part-time EMBA degree in general management at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. His professional career took him from the Topographical Survey in Wabern via Porta + Partner AG in Brugg to the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway in 2001 as Head of Surveying. In the field of project management, he was project manager for infrastructure projects for 10 years and thus jointly responsible for the realization of the NEAT railroad station in Visp. Since 2011, Egon Gsponer has been a member of the Executive Board and in his function is responsible for both the construction and maintenance of the entire railroad infrastructure as well as the safety and availability of the railroad line from Zermatt to Disentis. |

Xavier Gertschen, Head of Corporate Development, BVZ Holding AG. Xavier Gertschen has been Head of Corporate Development at the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway / BVZ Holding since 2019. Previously, he was Head of Controlling for the Group for 13 years. He is a trained tourism specialist HF and business economist FH and has trained part-time to become a federally certified expert in accounting and controlling. He is currently completing an EMBA in Digital Transformation in Zurich. Before joining BVZ Group, Xavier held various controlling positions at UBS in Zurich and Bern and at Valora in Bern and Muttenz. Since 2022, Xavier has been a member of the extended Executive Board of Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn / BVZ Holding and, together with his team, covers the topics of strategy, cooperation management, data science, innovation management and corporate governance. |

Eric Pointner, Managing Director, Rovina und Partner AG. Eric Pointner graduated from the University of Bern with a specialization in Quaternary geology and hydrogeology. He is a qualified geologist and qualified mountain guide. He also completed additional training as a demolition master and rock support specialist. Since 2001, Eric Pointner has been working in the office of Rovina und Partner AG and has been the company's managing director since 2021. The interdisciplinary team of Rovina und Partner AG consists of specialists in the disciplines of geotechnics / engineering geology, hydrogeology, natural hazards as well as measurement technology and geoinformatics. Rovina und Partner has been supporting the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway for years as a local partner in event management and natural hazard prevention. |

Damian Steffen, Managing Director, geoformer igp AG. Dr. Damian Steffen has been working at geoformer igp AG since 2009 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2017. He holds a degree in geosciences from the ETHZ and received his PhD from the Institute of Geology at the University of Bern in 2008. He deepened his management knowledge with two CAS in business administration and leadership. geoformer igp AG specializes in all aspects of natural hazards, from hazard assessment to the implementation of protective measures. It also offers its expertise in the fields of geology and environment. Damian Steffen leads the "Snow and Avalanches" team, with which he develops projects throughout Switzerland. |

Nora Teuwsen, Board member SMG, Chairwoman of the Executive Board, ABB Switzerland. Nora Teuwsen has been Chairwoman of the Executive Board of ABB Switzerland Ltd. since August 2022. She holds a master's degree in law from the University of Zurich and is admitted to the Swiss Bar as well as an "Executive Master of European and International Business Law" from the University of St. Gallen. Nora Teuwsen held various positions at SBB from 2004 to 2019, most recently as Group General Counsel from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, she founded Beyondlegal, a consulting firm for legal departments. Nora Teuwsen is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the "Menschen für Menschen" foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of Raiffeisenbank St. Gallen. |
